KSZ Transport wants to be among the top ten of the Dutch transport sector within five years. The mission? To offer seamless logistics solutions, with sustainability and innovation as the foundation. “Our strategy is about creating value for customers, for staff and for the sector,” says Arslan.

 

The route there is clear. KSZ is investing in the electrification of its fleet, in making processes more sustainable and in a clear organisational structure. The data-driven control tower plays a central role in this. “It allows us to monitor and adjust in real time, which leads to maximum transparency and reliability,” says Valkenburg.

 

Commercially, KSZ is focusing on strengthening customer relationships by extending its services, for instance with logistics or alternative forms of transport. It is also actively working to spread its customer base in order to manage risk. “We want to broaden our reach so we stand stronger in the market,” says Valkenburg.

 

Strategic growth is another important priority. “Buy and build is not an empty phrase for us,” he says. “We are actively looking at transport companies of a comparable size, so that we can broaden our services and scale up faster.”

 

Human capital gets plenty of attention too. KSZ invests in attracting staff, in a flexible staffing structure and in raising engagement. “Our people make the difference,” says Arslan. “That is why we provide development, good terms of employment and a healthy work-life balance.”

 

Finally, KSZ keeps a tight grip on its financial structure. Continuous costing, steering on data and attracting outside capital should all contribute to stable growth. “We are building a future-proof organisation,” Valkenburg concludes. “One in which sustainability, transparency and engagement are central.”
