A considerable step forward for KSZ Transport!

After years of planning and preparation, ground will be broken this autumn: KSZ Transport is starting construction of a brand-new office, a 10,000 square metre warehouse and a charging yard for the electric fleet. A considerable step forward, say Managing Director Onur Arslan and Commercial Director Richard Valkenburg.

It is a project they have been working towards for years. 'We spent a long time looking for the right location, the right design and the right moment,' says Onur Arslan, Managing Director of KSZ Transport. 'And now the time has finally come: straight after the construction holiday we started building our new premises. A milestone for the whole team.'

The new building comprises a modern office, an impressive 10,000 square metre warehouse and ample parking with charging points for the fleet, which now numbers more than 110 lorries – a growing share of them electric. With this, KSZ is not only preparing for the future but also putting weight behind its sustainability plans.

Game changer

For Commercial Director Richard Valkenburg, the new warehouse in particular is a game changer. 'We are building a versatile storage facility for food, non-food and bulk goods,' he explains. 'Demand for storage space has been growing for years, and customers are looking for a logistics partner that can act quickly and think flexibly along with them. That is exactly what we offer with this expansion. The combination of scale, efficiency and bespoke work is what really makes the difference.'

KSZ is taking significant steps in inner-city distribution as well. In urban areas in particular, demand for zero-emission transport is rising rapidly. 'We are responding to that actively,' says Arslan. 'With our own charging yard on site and the option to charge at customers' distribution centres too, we can carry out more and more transport electrically. That fits the sustainability goals of both ourselves and our customers.'

Construction is being carried out in phases to safeguard the continuity of day-to-day operations. If all goes to plan, the new premises will be fully in use in the third quarter of 2026.

The management, office staff and drivers are looking forward to the next phase in the KSZ story. 'This is more than a new building,' Valkenburg concludes. 'It is a strong signal to our customers, staff and partners: we are ready for tomorrow.'
