Our vision shows how the company keeps developing and innovating to meet the changing needs of the logistics sector.

In a frank conversation with Richard Valkenburg, Commercial Director, and Onur Arslan, Managing Director of KSZ Transport, they discuss how the company intends to deliver on its ambitious plans.

“Our focus at the moment is on broadening our services to meet growing demand beyond traditional retail distribution,” Richard Valkenburg begins. “We see customers with an increasingly varied set of logistics needs. That is why we are shaping our fleet and our services so that we can meet these broader requests as well.”

Onur Arslan agrees and adds: “To be able to meet the variety in requests, we are actively looking for staff with the right qualifications and qualities for the different kinds of work. We are investing firmly in organic growth, but we are also open to strategic acquisitions. That allows us to keep meeting the strong demand from

Transparency and sustainability reporting

Richard stresses that the company leads the way in offering transparent services. “We provide CO2 reports and supply data for CSRD reporting to customers in any sector that needs it. That not only helps them meet their own sustainability obligations, it also shows our commitment to a greener transport sector. Because we are able to give full insight into fuel use, distance covered and driving style across all our journeys, we are attracting more and more customers from a range of sectors. This broad package of services makes us an attractive partner for companies looking for reliable, detailed sustainability reporting.”

Shortening the distance to our customers

Onur talks with pride about a new step the company has taken: “From 1 December we are opening a new site. This new location in Culemborg is a strategic move. Its central position means we can shorten the distances to our customers, which improves both delivery speed and our environmental footprint.”

Richard adds: “The shortage of lorry parking in the Netherlands is a challenge as well, but we have made sure our drivers and vehicles have access to our own parking. That provides security for our equipment and an efficient, reliable working environment for our drivers.”

Looking for a new site for future growth

The directors also discuss the search for an additional site that can meet the charging needs of the electric vehicles to come. “We are actively looking for a place that can provide the infrastructure for electric charging and where we also have the option of offering warehousing to our customers,” Onur explains. “That would allow us to offer a more complete package of services and serve our customers even better with flexible storage and distribution solutions.”

Richard adds: “Finding a site with enough space and the right facilities is essential if we are to meet future demand. We want to be prepared for the growing need for electric mobility and at the same time respond to customers who need reliable storage.”

With this shared vision and these efforts, KSZ Transport continues to work on sustainable growth and innovation, with the customer at the centre and the future approached with confidence.
